Born of terrific parents,
Valentine attributes her bold, haptic style
to long years of dreaming in color
and being a generally-nice-person-most-of-the-time.
She holds degrees in Art Education and Design
from New York State University at Buffalo
and from University of Washington, Seattle.
She mounted her first portfolio at age six,
cut with blunt scissors and glued with library paste.
